I was very privileged to meet some lovely people on Sunday at the fabulous Brooklands Museum in Weybridge. Denis Corley volunteer and historian , Julian Temple, Estates and Heritage Manager at the museum, Denis Jacobs, one of the last surviving people to have worked on the bouncing bombs along with Vick Benson. Simon Ames arranged for the Lancaster to do the fly past and ran a wonderful commentary. I am also very lucky to have flown in the Lancaster some years ago taking pictures of the Hurricane for the BBMF and an article in Flypast Magazine. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. We flew from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire up to RAF Leuchars in Scotland and fleetingly over the sea on the East coast. It was magic. This year is the 70th Anniversary of the Dambusters Raid and we should not forget the 53 men who lost their lives from 617 Squadron. Rest in peace.

In case you missed them I thought I would share a photo of the lovely Suffolk Punch rare breed horses, cutting the meadow at Clandon Wood Natural Burial Ground last week. It looked like summer was almost here. Hmm and now we it's been snowing. Crazy British weather. These horses are magnificent and they are owned by Daniel Brown a Horesman who lives near Dorking. He has also used his lovely horse Eddie to carry coffins to the graveside at Clandon Wood. The use of the horses is all part of the environmentally friendly management plan for the 31 acres of wildflower meadows there.

The bee picture was taken in my garden last summer. Summer? What's that you ask as we seem once again to be immersed in winter. Is it just me or does our winter feel like it's getting longer?

I was very lucky to have this image in the Surrey Life magazine last month. Taken of the fields that flood near Burpham. We had had so much rain and the light was just wonderful. I have cards of this image which can also be seen in my gallery.  Hope you like it. No tripod and hand held in fairly low light on a Nikon D300s with zoom lens.
