I have a three year Diploma in photography from Nottingham Trent University where I graduated in 1981. In the same year  I also passed my driving test and qualified as a hot air balloon pilot! Hot air ballooning has taken me to many interesting places around the world and enabled me to get some great aerial shots. Balloons make great camera platforms for taking pictures and also give you a totally different perspective. Some years ago I flew hot air balloons in Africa with a company called Balloon Safaris, based in Kenya. It was all my dreams come true. Adventure, ballooning, photography and wildlife. I returned to the UK and went back to University this time to study Zoology. I graduated with a Zoology Hons degree in 1994. As jobs in conservation were hard to come by I took a U turn and for many years worked in PR and event management, in the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. I was still armed with a camera though!

I love taking pictures of the natural world and creative images of everyday things from guitars to spoons!. I am a natural light person, I love the way light falls on certain subjects, illuminates a shot, a flower, a face. I am also slightly obsessed with reflections on water and I carry a camera with me all the time just in case I see the perfect shot. All of my wildlife and nature photography can be purchased as prints, canvasses or greetings cards.

I have recently branched out into Funeral Photography. This has come about whilst working with the 'Best Natural Burial Ground 2014,' in the UK, Clandon Wood Surrey Hills Natural Burial Reserve based in West Clandon just outside Guildford in Surrey. It is comprised of thirty-one acres of wild flower meadows, a glass pavilion for memorial services and a horse and carriage to transport lovely eco-friendly coffins such as Willow, cardboard or natural wood to the grave. It is a very special honour to record someone's final journey. At Clandon Wood each funeral is special, unique and in many ways heartwarming and reassuring. I try to capture that essence in the images I take there. For funeral photography I can supply you with a special memory photobook or a number of images on a USB stick. I am discreet and sensitive and do not record people's sadness and tears.
